HONOLULU PEN WOMEN APRIL 2013 MEETING

Lucie Lynch treated us to two of her wonderful songs.
Good news: Her Kickstarter campaign for the production
of her new CD was funded with money to spare!
Congratulations, Lucie!

Lucie wrote, produced, and performed her one-woman musical, Gabrielle’s Universe, (about a delightfully neurotic secretary who marries her typewriter in search of true love) - for four years throughout northern Germany.

She then spent five years on the road writing & recording her original album, It Goes Without Words, on beaches, couches, and living rooms all across the globe, while creating her soon-to-be-released book of poetry, Schmetterlingsfuesse (Butterfly Feet).

And here's our Fearless Speaker:
DAVID BEHLKE
Master glass artist, teacher, tenor, gallery director and delightful raconteur!

“The Creative Process, Thoughts and Action”

David Behlke works in a variety of media, drawing, and painting in acrylics. He is fond of integrating areas of glitter in some of his small-scale work. He also designs and fabricates leaded stained glass and designs etched glass windows for commercial and domestic settings. His latest work titled “Aloha ke Akua”, a glass mural 58’ x 8’, dedicated at the 15 Craigside Retirement Condominiums, at the top of Nu‘uanu Avenue in Honolulu in January 2012.

Thank you, David for your fabulous, poignant, stream-of-consciousness,
enlightening, philosophical, humorous and full-on beating heart presentation!
