WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All Pen Women members, Friends
and guests are invited to come to the event wearing clothes made from “trash.”
GUIDELINES:
Clothes are to be fashioned
from a minimum of 90% reclaimed materials.
You’re encouraged to create a
complete ensemble with accessories like hats, bags, jewelry and shoes.
SUGGESTED TRASH:

magazines, junk mail, scrap papers

Cardboard,
toilet paper tubes, egg cartons, failed paintings

Plastic
bags: woven, crocheted, pleated, sewn...

Plastic
cups and utensils, straws, chop sticks

filters, tea bags, pens, pencils

Rags,
remnants, ribbons, rope, cords, silk ties, hair

Packaging
materials, candy wrappers, juice cartons

Six-pack
rings, bottle caps, machine parts

Lamp
shades, shower curtains, inner tubes

Sea
glass, toys, jewelry, playing cards

Chain
mail made from soda pop tops
